Creating a User Account in Windows

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

START MENU > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > DISPLAY

  1. Desktop > Customize > GENERAL TAB > check mark on  “My Network” ONLY

 

  1. Switch to DESKTOP TAB and choose an background  ( You may choose something from your folder if you want or from My Pictures)

 

  1. Switch to SCREENSAVER TAB and choose a screensaver (keep on 10 min.) Uncheck “on resume, display welcome”

 

4.    APPEARANCE TAB  Change to Large Font

 

5.    Find the Effects button > choose large icons

 

 

 

START MENU > PROGRAMS > MICROSOFT OFFICE > MICROSOFT WORD

 

  

ü      Mozilla Firefox

ü      Microsoft Powerpoint

ü      Microsoft Excel

ü      Screen Grab Pro

ü      Storybook Weaver

ü      Disney  > Adventures in Typing  (use the T icon)

 

 

 

1.       Drag each of these new short-cut icons to your task bar.

2.     They can then be deleted if you want. 

3.     Also drag your folder icon to the task bar.
